Hello Friends!

I pray for each of you by name. I pray for God´s peace to surround you and that you be filled with His love.

There are so many different stories and opinions on the media now, and it is hard to decipher what is actually true and what is not true. Some groups think that we are opening up too early, others say we should have opened up long ago. Some are afraid of another wave of the virus, while others say that the government is taking away our rights and this virus is man made.

It can be exhausting just to look and listen to the media. But, as children of God, we know that our hope is in Jesus. His finished work on the cross has given us everything that we will ever need in this life and in the life to come.

There is a story in the book of Joshua that I love.

Joshua 5:13-15:

When Joshua was near Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing in front of him holding a drawn sword. Joshua approached him and asked him, “Are you on our side or allied with our enemies?”  He answered, “Truly I am the commander of the Lord’s army. Now I have arrived!  Joshua bowed down with his face to the ground and asked, “What does my master want to say to his servant?”  The commander of the Lord’s army answered Joshua, “Remove your sandals from your feet, because the place where you stand is holy.” Joshua did so.

Basically, this commander of the Lord´s army wasn´t coming into the situation to take sides. He was coming to take over.

And I pray that this is what we will see in our situation. I pray that God will move in and just take over. I pray that God will take what the enemy meant for evil and turn it for good. You see, God doesn´t have to choose sides. He comes to take charge. And when He takes charge, we will see His glory!

Habakkuk 2:14:

¨For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.¨

I am still doing video meetings with the youth group every week, we are going through the book of Romans. We have even found some games that we can play together on our video calls. I really miss seeing and interacting with the youth group, the choir, the praise team and all the congregation at the chapel. But God has given me such peace, knowing that He is ¨working all things together for good.¨ Please continue to pray for these precious students during this time.

Thank you all so much for your prayers and your financial support for this ministry.

Love and Blessings,

Cheryl Good
