1 Thessalonians 2:4,
"But just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not to please man, but to please God who tests our hearts."
I am so grateful to God for allowing me to be a part of His plan and be His messenger to the precious youth that He has called me to minister to.
We had our Discipleship Weekend March 29-30 at the Elk River Lodge at Joe Wheeler State Park. Several of our youth had other commitments, but we had a great time with those who were able to come. The theme for the weekend was relationships. Our first session was Friday night, with my son Andy, who spoke about relationships in general in the body of Christ, and what that should look like. Our second session was Saturday morning, with Austin Coots, who spoke about boy/girl relationships and what the Bible says about that, how to stay pure and build each other up in the Lord. The last session I did on Saturday evening about our relationship with the Lord, how that we sometimes want to use God as an "add on" in our busy lives, when we should revolve our whole life around Him. We had one person who accepted Christ as Lord and Savior and eight who made a commitment to get up earlier and have a daily quiet time with the Lord. It was a sweet time together. Praise God for the work and power of Holy Spirit in our lives!
I apologize for this newsletter being so late, but I wanted to wait and get some pictures and a report about this Discipleship weekend. Many of you were praying for us, so thank you so much for lifting us up! God is faithful!
Thank you all so much for your prayer support and your financial support each month. You are vital to this ministry!
