Jesus said in John 8:31-32, "....if you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."
I am so thankful for the truth in the Word of God that sets us free! Satan would like for us to believe the lies that he tells us every day, but if we abide in the Word, and know the truth of the Word, we are set free!
We have been reading through the book of Revelation in our weekly club meetings, just going around with our Bibles, reading verse by verse. And, according to Revelation 1:3, there is a blessing for those who read it and hear it. So we are blessed by the Lord! We have also taken on a project called Neverthirst, which is a faith-based organization that digs wells in third world countries where they don't have clean drinking water. The kids are excited about it, and when the money is raised, they will send us a video while they are working on it, with some of the people we will be serving through the well. They will also put the name of our group on the well when it is finished.
Please pray for this project.
We had a great week at Camp Electric. The kids met new friends and had great fellowship as they joined together in worship and playing music together. They also received instruction from some of the greatest musicians in Christian music. It was so exciting to see them step out of their comfort zone and sing or play in front of others.
The theme for the week was "Don't be a control freak", using the story of Joseph and how his life was completely out of his control for so long, but God was in control, and Joesph learned to trust God when things were out of his control. It was a great week, and I am thankful for the opportunity to be a part of what they are doing.
We have one more event for the summer--Motion Conference in Birmingham, AL July 25-27. Please pray for this event, for a mighty move of God among us as we join with the 16,000--20,000 others in this amazing youth conference.
Thank you all so much for your faithful financial support and prayers!
